The Belt serves as time stamp in for a calendar year to reflect on the Apex of an emcee’s run for that time of their career. And it will be etched in stone for the rest of Battle Rap history. The Award began in 2017 with the first COTY, O Red. And in 2018 Geechi Gotti wins his belt. Now the first two Champions will face off while Geechi Gotti has been making a case all of 2019 to repeat for his title. Will this put Geechi over the hill to repeat back to back? Or will O-Red put a halt to this illustrious run?
